The Opportunity
We are seeking a professional and organized full-time Leasing Coordinator to provide leasing and administrative support to the Property Management Team. Our Leasing Coordinators are an important part of our front-line service team and will represent the core values of Paragon Living. The ideal candidate will actively conduct tours and interact with potential applicants at our current and upcoming properties as they come online, and work closely with our onsite and head office staff to maintain high standards of customer service related to our prospective and current residents throughout the lease-up and re-rental process.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage a calendar of scheduled showings and application appointments in an organized and efficient manner.
- Prepare show suites and rental properties for presentation, and conduct tours with prospective residents, highlighting amenities and features of the building and the neighborhood.
- Collect and process rental applications including rental history, employment verification, and other related background and credit checks.
- Compile all relevant application information and submit to the Property Manager for approval.
- Collect required payments related to the application and move-in process, including deposits and rental payments.
- Draft and issue new leases for signature to the resident, and then the Property Manager for final sign off.
- Coordinate and complete the move-in and move-out unit condition reports with residents, including issuing welcome packages, building access and related items.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems, including SharePoint, Yardi, and property-specific systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications.
- Comfortable using mobile technology and apps for leasing, communication, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with marketing and property management software; experience with RentCafe, Rentsync and Yardi are strong assets.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with sales experience considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage conflict in a professional, calm manner.
- Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act, Policies and Guidelines, and Residential Tenancy Agreements.
- Must be able to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Must have valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check.
